Shelda Austin Sampson is a dedicated educator with over twenty-two years of experience in primary education. She earned her Diploma in Secondary Education from Bethlehem Moravian College in Jamaica and went on to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education from the Catholic College of Mandeville in Jamaica. Shelda has worked in various educational settings, including urban and rural schools, where she has developed her reputation teaching methods and commitment to student success. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Shelda is an avid reader and enjoys nature walking in her spare time. Shelda resides in Raleigh with her family and is dedicated to fostering a love for learning in her students.

Isabel Rodriguez is teaching her 4th year at Franklinton Elementary. She has taught 2nd grade for 3 years and is now teaching 5th grade math and science. Mrs. Rodriguez is bilingual in English and Spanish. She was also awarded Beginning Teacher of The Year 2024 at FES.
